Traub TNM28 CNC Multi-slide automatic with integral bar feed and magazine

The Traub TNM series has a CNC multi slide automatic classification for complete machining of the smaller work piece up to 28mm diameter. With 4 NC – axes, it is designed to machine small and medium batch sizes alike, it easily replaces existing cam-operated lathes without any loss in output. On the machine are four exceptionally sturdy plunge slides, arranged around the main spindle to accommodate form tools up to 40mm wide, each slide can be individually programmed. The NC controlled star-type turret can accommodate 8 tools, located in one of the turret stations is a hydraulically operated pick up spindle for supporting the part for ‘pip-less’ part off. Simultaneous machining on the part off face of the component can be carried out at the Rear NC BAST controlled station equipped with two driven tools.

For complete automation the machine is interfaced with the Traub integral bar feeding magazine. Parts removal is via an integral chute that transports the finished work piece out of the machining area.

Traub TNM28 CNC Multi-Slide Bar Turning Centre with Automatic Bar Loading Magazine and TX8H Control

Second hand Traub TNM28 CNC Multi-slide automatic. Year of manufacture 1996. The machine is offered complete with the integrated Three metre bar loading magazine. The machine and equipment has been through our extensive refurbishment program. The machine has had a full major service schedule, all exterior machine guarding have been removed for full shot blast and professional powder coating, inner guards have been fully refurbished. The ‘X’ and ‘Z’ axis ball screws, cross slide and BAST ball screws have all been professionally refurbished, The main spindle bearings, ball screw bearings and linear guide ways have all been replaced.  All solenoid, pressure switch and proximity switch plugs / cables have been replaced. Various hydraulic and coolant hoses have been replaced. All machine geometries are checked and calibrated.

Additional reconditioning work:

All electronic relays solid state and standard contact have been replaced. The hydraulic hoses (8 off) feeding the 4 cross slides have been replaced. The feed finger mechanism has been completely overhauled with new bearing, location flange and bushes replaced where necessary.
